Chad has lived most of his life in the beautiful state of Washington and is excited to be apart of the Lake Washington PT family. Spending his childhood in East Wenatchee he later moved with his family to the Tri Cities and graduated from Southridge High school in Kennewick. Growing up in a family of die hard University of Washington supporters Chad stirred the pot, created a house divided, and went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at Washington State University in 2009. GO COUGS! While at WSU he was an active member of his major as a Teachers Assistant and held several leadership roles as apart of the Physical Education and Kinesiology Club/Northwest Student Professional Network (PEK/NWPSN), including president. During his breaks away from school he actively pursued a future in physical therapy by working as a PT aide at Swift Rehabilitation, an outpatient PT clinic in the Tri Cities. Chad went on to complete his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2013 at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in San Marcos, CA with an emphasis on manual therapy.
Chad has been working as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting since he graduated in 2013 utilizing an individualized and holistic style of treatment to help patients attain their personal goals and improve symptoms, impairments, and functional limitations. He started his journey as a PT working for Olympic Physical Therapy (OPT) in Everett where he expanded on his orthopedic manual therapy background and was introduced to/mentored in assessment and treatment techniques for the Postural Restoration Institute. Chad continued his professional development transferring in 2015 to OPT in Kirkland (now ATI Physical Therapy) where he began working with local physicians successfully treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. He developed a passion for treating adolescents with acquired spinal fractures emphasizing pain reduction, spinal stabilization, and mobility in addition to postural and biomechanical correction in efforts to return to normal levels of function or sport. Chad works hard to create a positive experience for his patients of all backgrounds and diagnosis through preparation, communication, transparency, responsibility, sincerity, and empathy while striving to build on successes and avoiding failures.
From a young age Chad has always been a very energetic and active person (no surprise to those that know him). He played a multitude of competitive sports growing up including soccer, baseball, and tennis and continues his love by exercising and playing at a recreational level to this day. Chad is a die hard Seattle sports and WSU fan and enjoys spending his free time exploring the playground that is the Pacific Northwest hiking/backpacking, boating, paddle boarding, long boarding, snowboarding/skiing, and snowshoeing with his Girlfriend Averi and 90 pound Goldendoodle named Archiee!
Chad looks forward to meeting and helping you meet your goals.
