Elizabeth is a home grown talent, growing up in Kirkland. She attended Lake Washington High School. Since her childhood she has enjoyed playing soccer and exploring the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hiking throughout the Pacific Northwest with family and friends. She was first introduced to Physical Therapy after tearing her ACL while playing recreational soccer in high school.
Outside of her Doctoral level education in Physical Therapy she also has education in Sport & Exercise Psychology and experience working in the athletic training room at Pacific Lutheran University. She is well versed in providing care for patients in all three physical therapy disciplines (acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, and outpatient), however she has found most interest working in the outpatient setting.
Her desire to work with motivated and athletic individuals led her to participate in continuing education classes that focused on strength & conditioning, sports physical therapy, and yoga & mindfulness. She has taken multiple courses through the Gray Institute that has allowed her to better view patient issues through a 3-dimensional understanding. She pays particular attention to each individual patient’s desired functional activities. Elizabeth has also sharpened her skills in manual therapy through multiple avenues to be able to utilize varying hands on techniques to drive her patients toward success.
In her years of experience as a physical therapist, Elizabeth has found joy in patterning with patients and watching them successfully return to their recreational activities of choice. Elizabeth believes in a holistic treatment approach including each patient's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing.
During her time at Lake Washington Physical Therapy she has greatly enjoyed volunteering and working with local high school sports including providing medical coverage at Crossfire soccer events and on the sideline of Redmond High School Lacrosse games. She has also taken the lead on providing care for patients in their homes after orthopedic surgeries through the newly implemented “PT Delivered” program to aid in early rehabilitation prior to the patient being able to travel to the clinic.
She has more recently developed a passion for providing expert knowledge in the area of ergonomics as it relates to so many of our clients that work in front of a screen during the day. Just because you are required to sit at a desk all day for work does not mean that you are doomed to neck and back pain!
In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with friends/family, hiking, skiing, road-tripping, camping, crafting, and baking.
